Since the release of the 50-series, the fourth version of Deep Learning Super Sampling – DLSS 4 for short – has also been available for NVIDIA graphics cards.
Anyone with an RTX graphics card from NVIDIA can now use it for supported games.
The new technology not only gives you more frames, but also makes the supported games look a lot snappier.
Crytek’s extraction shooter Hunt: Showdown can already benefit from the new technology – and we’ll show you how to activate the feature below.
DLSS 4 in Hunt: Showdown – here’s how!
- First download the NVIDIA app, install it and then download the latest “Geforce Game Ready” driver via the app.
- Then switch to the “Graphics” tab on the left and select Hunt: Showdown 1896 from the games list.
You will now be presented with a large list of settings. - Scroll down to the Driver Settings section and look for the DLSS Override – Model Presets entry.
- If you click on the edit option, a window will open in which you have to select the item “Use different settings for each DLSS technology”.
- At the bottom you will find the drop-down menu for the Super-Resolution item where you can select the various presets.
You can of course try out what looks and works best for you, but we recommend simply selecting the “Latest” option. - Now click on Apply and the next time you start Hunt: Showdown 1896 you can enjoy all the benefits of DLSS 4.
Note: If the options do not appear after updating the NVIDIA app and the latest driver, reinstalling the app and driver followed by a system restart should solve the problem.
