Another playtest of the extraction shooter Exoborne is currently running – and there are various ways to get a Steam key for it.
We take a look at all the ways you can take part.
The playtest runs until February 17, 2025 and, according to developer Sharkmob, there are only a limited number of keys available.
Request access via Steam
The easiest way to get access is to request it directly via Steam. Simply visit the Steam page for Exoborne and click on the “Request access” button.
As soon as a new unlock wave is activated by developer Sharkmob, you will have the opportunity to be unlocked for the test.
Steam key via Twitch Drops
Another option is to get a Steam key for the Exoborne Playtest via a Twitch Drop.
All you have to do is create an account on the Exoborne Twitch Drops page.
- Visit the Exoborne Twitch Drops website
- Enter your e-mail and then click on “GET CODE”.
- The code will be sent to you, enter it now.
- You will now be asked to connect the account to your Twitch account.
Now all you have to do is watch a Twitch streamer in the Exoborne category for 15 minutes.
Then switch back to the website and scroll down until you reach a “Steam Key:” field and a “REDEEM” button.
A Steam key should now be displayed in the field, which you can then enter in your library under “Add game” and “Activate product on Steam”.
Ask a tester for a Steam key
The third way to get a key for the playtest is to ask an active player to give you one of their unlocked Steam keys.
Because: As soon as you have played Exoborne for at least 60 minutes, you can unlock up to two Steam keys.
- Play Exoborne for at least 60 minutes
- Visit the friends invitation page.
- Log in with your e-mail, you should then be able to request and enter a code via the button.
- Unlock the keys and pass them on
Important notes on this method:
- As far as we can tell, this involves 60 minutes of real playing time in the game itself; simply letting the game run in the background does not seem to work.
- Once unlocked, the keys can only be used for a certain amount of time and expire!
