The Season’s Beatings event brings Christmas spirit to the world of Rust – and below we reveal what you can expect in this year’s event.
How long does the event run for?
The event will remain active in the game until January 2, 2025.
Present & gift levels
While you are playing, you will hear the bells ringing again and again and can then find two presents per player in your immediate vicinity (approx. 40 meter radius).
You then have to smash these presents to get them.
You will then receive gifts as loot, which come in three levels: Small, Medium and Large.
Once you have collected enough gifts of the smaller levels, you can “swap” them up a level.
Of course, you can also open the gifts and receive resources, weapons and Christmas sweets. The higher the gift level, the higher the chance of high-quality loot.
Christmas socks & festive equipment
You can also find Christmas socks in the presents, which you can hang up in your base. Each time you give presents, i.e. when your presents are spawned around you, you can also find a few little things in your socks.
The durability of the socks decreases with each use, but you will almost certainly find a replacement before they are used up.
The socks also come in two sizes, with the larger socks having a higher chance of finding better items and being more durable.
Also included in the gifts are reindeer antlers and Christmas hats that you can put on and a candy cane that you can eat or use as a weapon.
Advent calendar
The Advent calendar is also celebrating its return and can be set up again after crafting. Once a day (not days in the game!) you can pick up a little surprise here until the end of the event.
And of course, all the other decoration items are also available again in the game and in the store to get your base in the festive mood.
